This 6ft.x 6 ft. playhouse feature a lot of nice options. It’s large enough to let many children inside and the sturdy construction will insure you of a playhouse that will be enjoyed for many years.
The Little Alexandra Cottage Deluxe main feature is the covered front porch. It’s the same interior space as the standard model, with 33 square feet of play area but we added this front porch to dress it up. This will protect children from the rain and provide shade for the hot summer days.
The cedar deck comes with railings on the side. This playhouse is good for children of all age. The taller 54 in. Dutch Door will allow adults to enter so they can have fun with the kids. The interior walls and the ceiling are painted white and the lumber is left natural. The wood is rounded, so there is no sharp edges and it’s smooth to touch.
A quality playhouse at the right price
Beautiful covered front porch with cedar deck, large enough to place a child chair. I think a real advantage of having that front porch is that it provide shade in the summer. The cedar shingles help keeping the playhouse cool because they don’t get hot in the sun. It’s a nice shelter from the rain as well. The roof is completely water tight and the shingles will last for 25 years.
This playhouse will come with 3 windows. The front ones have a single shutter while the larger one on the side wall has 2 shutters. They do a good job at keeping the rain out but still let fresh air flow through. There is no glass in the openings. ( Children love entering their playhouse through the windows)

Perfect Playhouse
We found this playhouse on Home Depot’s website about 6 weeks ago. It wasn’t available to purchase, but within a week it became back in stock. We snatched it up immediately. (I’ve watched it go in and out of stock since then, so if you’re wanting this, just hold tight. It’ll be available.) My husband was able to put it together in a matter of hours. There were no instructions included, but we had already found them on HD’s website. That being said, they are very light instructions, but we’re renovators, so it wasn’t a problem. A person who’s not so handy might find them a little too vague. Hardware was inculded. My husband still needs to find a magnetic mechanism for keeping the dutch door together and closed. The included method is unclear, and not what we’re wanting. We gave the playhouse a quick wash of stain/weatherproofing, landscaped it a bit, and it was set. Our daughter (7 years old) and son (1 year old) absolutely love it. It’s the perfect size for little ones and big kids. I can even stand up fully inside (I’m 5.5 feet tall). They’ve got a child’s sized rocking chair, side table and little rug inside. This playhouse is our newest favorite spot. Our whole family recommends this. It’s a great size, constructed and designed well and is oh-so adorable.

Nice clubhouse for little people
Can be put together quickly by two people. We were disappointed that the shutters DID NOT close. Overall a decent clubhouse. We suggest putting carpet or such at the time of installing the walls.The porch is on the small side, so you will have to have very small furniture for the little people. We have put our daughters Barble house and her kitchen set inside and she still has room to play.

We just surprised Naomi and Soleil with their cottage and they are over the moon delighted. It is simply beautiful. We could not ask for more. Thank you, thank you. There was a bit of a snafu with Home Depot on the actual delivery because the house was quite heavy and on a pallet and needed a hand truck for offload. Delayed about 6 days. The house was delivered finally. All the pieces were there, and nothing was broken. I downloaded the assembly instructions. The house went together pretty easily and we actually put it on a platform and made it into a tree house. It is really very nice and the grandchildren love it. I would say the quality is good and I think it should last quite a few years. I would recommend this item.

The Canadian Playhouse Factory, the manufacturer of the cottage, on receiving my order for the 6’x6′ playhouse, informed me this unit was temporarily of of stock. To expedite my order, they offered substituting the 6’x8′ playhouse for the smaller unit at no additional fee. I agreed and am glad I got the larger unit because it better accommodates three grandkids. The playhouse arrived well packaged on a pallet weighing 600lbs. All pieces were present and intact. Directions were skimpy and should have included a warning that the middle rafter needed to be placed in exact center of the unit to accommodate the heavy four roof sections. Still, construction was pretty straight forward but does require basic familiarity with tools. Bottom line: good product, fair price, responsive company.

I purchased this for my child care center. This product is well made and was easy to assemble. It came with nails to assemble it, but I purchased screws to make it longer lasting. We also purchased locks for the doors and windows as it can get quite windy on our playground. The inside is smaller than I had thought it would be. I was going to get a table and chairs to place in there but there is not enough room for that. Overall, it is a great product and the kids are enjoying it already!
